Taylors FD's Krawczyk Honored
Liberty Mutual Insurance presents Scott Krawczyk with the "Firemark" Award.

Taylors Firefighter Scott Krawczyk was honored by Liberty Mutual Insurance on Monday for his service in Afghanistan.Â
Krawczyk, a National Guardsman, had to hang up his helmet at the Taylors Fire Department on July 2, 2011 to report for duty. He was deployed to the Khost province of Afghanistan, where three of his comrades perished in June in attack.Â
He returned last fall and got back to his job as a firefighter in October.

"I really wasn't expecting it. I don't feel like I deserve it. I was doing my job. I signed up for it. About 180 others went there with me.
"But I do appreciate it. It's nice to know people care."Â
