Carter said his vision for the year will be to bring South Carolina Baptists together under a single vision to “get the gospel out to the people of South Carolina. When I talk about unity, I mean working together in a concentrated effort to make disciples. Sometimes we have too much competitiveness and territorial thinking.”

Carter said he is encouraged by participation this year at a statewide prayer event at White Oak Conference Center, near Winnsboro, and a statewide discipleship event at Riverland Hills Church, Columbia.
