Video: Haley Says Husband 'Excited, Ready' For Afghanistan Deployment

Gov. Nikki Haley said Tuesday during a trip to the Upstate that her husband, Michael was "excited," and "ready" for his duty in Helmand Province in Afghanistan, where he was deployed in just the last few days. 

The first gentleman had been receiving training over the past month at Camp Atterbury in Indiana, braving bitter cold and extensive training on language and agriculture for his National Guard unit's mission in the Middle East. 

The governor's communication with her husband will be limited to just e-mail during the duration of his deployment overseas.
