City Of Sioux Falls: Street Closure On East Eighth Street Begins June 21

From City of Sioux Falls:

June 9, 2021

Beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021, East Eighth Street will be closed to through traffic between North Phillips Avenue and North Weber Avenue. Through traffic will be detoured onto Sixth Street. Eighth Street will remain open to local traffic between Philips Avenue and the East Bank Depot.

The City of Sioux Falls and BNSF will be working jointly to replace the crossing surface of the Eighth Street railroad crossing near Weber Avenue.

The project is anticipated to be complete and reopened to traffic by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes www.siouxfalls.org.
