Phillips Avenue Between 14th To 18th Street Will Be Closed Beginning May 3
Completion of a new water main, sanitary sewer, curb and gutter, asphalt surfacing and other work is expected to be completed by fall.
Beginning on Monday, May 3, 2021, South Phillips Avenue will be closed from 14th Street to 18th Street to allow crews to reconstruct the street. Northbound and southbound traffic will be detoured to Minnesota Avenue and pedestrian traffic will be detoured to First Avenue.
Work will consist of new water main, sanitary sewer, curb and gutter, asphalt surfacing, accessible curb ramp upgrades, and street lights.

This work is anticipated to be complete by the fall of 2021.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
