Watch Little League World Series: Sioux Falls Vs. North Carolina

SIOUX FALLS, SD — The Sioux Falls Little League team, representing the Midwest region, will take on the Southeast regional champs in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania on Friday night.

Sioux Falls defeated both Kansas and Minnesota before beating Missouri's Webb City Little League team twice in back-to-back games to cap off a perfect 4-0 record and claim the Midwest Regional Tournament championship. The games were played in Westfield, Indiana.

Sioux Falls is slated to play the North State Little League team, based in Greenville, North Carolina, at 7:00 p.m. (Central) on Friday. The game will air on ESPN and can be live streamed here. The team will hope to continue riding the hot bats of Marcus Phillips, Cohen Henry and Mason Riley, who combined for nine hits, nine RBIs and 11 runs in the regional tournament.

Phillips also pitched 11 1/3 innings, recording 20 strikeouts and allowing three walks and just one earned run.

Sioux Falls reached the series in its first year as a chartered Little League program, PennLive.com reported.

"We were fortunate enough to get some great kids and some great families that took the leap of faith in Sioux Falls from what they were playing last year to come over to Little League baseball, coach Travis Eastman said Monday.
Eastman, who also is league president, is credited with getting Little League in Sioux Falls after moving there.
