Update: Tennessee Air Base McGhee Tyson No Longer On Lockdown
A report of a suspicious person at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base prompted a lockdown Wednesday.

LOUISVILLE, TN — Officials lifted the lockdown at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base in Louisville, Tennessee, at around 2:45 p.m after multiple law-enforcement agencies responded to reports of an armed suspicious person at the scene.
A spokesperson for the air base confirmed that no suspicious person, nor a reportedly seen rifle were found.
CONFIRMED: There was NO suspicious person or rifle found at McGhee Tyson Airbase according to the base’s spokesperson.

The Tennessee National Guard said in a Facebook post that it was working with state and federal law enforcement officers to investigate the incident.

There are no reports of injuries.
All students, instructors and everyone at the McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base were also accounted for.
