Tennessee Inmate Captured After Escape On Hot-Wired 4-Wheeler
A Weakley County Jail inmate fled the facility on a hot-wired ATV and apparently stole cash and meth from an evidence room.

DRESDEN, TN -- A Weakley County Jail inmate is back behind bars after a brief escape Sunday morning on the back of a hot-wired four-wheeler.
Authorities in the rural county about 140 miles west of Nashville and the same distance northeast of Memphis said that Clinton Laster, a jail trusty, hot-wired an ATV in the impound lot and drove off around 6 a.m. Sunday.
After wrecking the four-wheeler on nearby Highway 22, Laster ran, sheriff's officials said, but was apprehended a few hours later with the help of a Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter and a K-9 unit from nearby Benton County.

Evidence bags were found at the crash scene and sheriff's officials confirmed an undisclosed amount of cash and meth were missing from the evidence room. They believe the evidence is from cases which have already gone to trial.
Laster has been jailed since a June 2016 conviction on meth-related charges.
