NASHVILLE, TN — Early voting wraps up this week in the special election to fill the Antioch-area District 33 vacancy on the Metro Council
Early voting runs until Thursday, August 10, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Davidson County Election Commission Main Office at 1417 Murfreesboro Pike. Election Day is set for Tuesday, August 15.

Five candidates are vying to fill the seat left vacant when Sam Coleman was chosen by his council colleagues to fill the General Sessions judge position formerly held by under-federal-indictment Casey Moreland. The candidates are Jack Byrd III, Martez Coleman, Tim Herndon, Antoinette Lee and Michael E. Mayhew. Martez Coleman is not related to Sam Coleman.
