“Mazi has been on and off exhibit over the last few weeks in order to give him a smooth transition to his outdoor area as well as be introduced to Nasha and Congo,” said hoofstock keeper Jenna Wolczyk said in a release. “Mazi has been an energetic calf and was ready to explore his outdoor exhibit. Guests can see him running and kicking about as he joins the rest of the herd in the African Savannah each morning.”

Margarita, 12, gave birth to Mazi February 10. Mazi is now 460 pounds and 8 feet tall.
