Hundreds Treated For Heat At Nashville Warped Tour Stop

At least 20 people were hospitalized and more than 200 treated for heat-related illnesses at the fairgrounds Tuesday, fire officials said.

NASHVILLE, TN -- By mid-afternoon Tuesday, at least 20 people had been hospitalized and more than 200 treated for heat-related illnesses at The Fairgrounds Nashville during the Warped Tour's stop in Music City.

The largely unshaded parking lots serving as impromptu venues brought little relief to concertgoers who flooded the fairgrounds to see the likes of The Used, Simple Plan, Reel Big Fish and Ever Time I Die as temperatures rose into the low 90s early Tuesday afternoon.

The Nashville Fire Department said it anticipated more people to be treated and hospitalized as first-aid tents remained full through the afternoon.
