Man Stabbed, Dumped On I-440

A man riding in a car on I-440 was stabbed in the chest by the driver and left on the side of the road, police say.

BERRY HILL, TN -- A man was stabbed in the chest by the driver of the car he was riding in on Interstate 440 Sunday night and was then dumped on the side of the road, according to police.

The man told police he and his friend got into an argument while driving around 10:30 Sunday night and she pulled out a knife and stabbed him.

He told investigators she then pulled over near the Gale Lane Apartments in Berry Hill, dropped him off and drove away.

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the fight was "non-domestic"; no one was arrested.
