Metro Nashville Public Schools Blue Ribbon Teacher Application Period Now Open
Up to 50 extraordinary educators will be recognized for their work in equity, engagement, and leadership.

Metro Schools, in collaboration with the Nashville Public Education Foundation and community partners, wants to honor teachers who are accomplishing outstanding things with our students.

The Blue Ribbon Teacher Awards aim to recognize classroom teacher excellence throughout Metro Nashville Public Schools. This year, the Blue Ribbon Teacher program will identify up to 50 extraordinary teachers for their work in equity, engagement, and leadership.
The application is now open and closes on June 11.

Eligibility Requirements
- Full-time MNPS or MNPS charter school teacher
- Instructs students 50% or more of the time
- In good professional standing/exceeds expectations, as confirmed by school leader
- Not a previous Blue Ribbon Teacher Award recipient
Informational Webinars
The MNPS Talent Management team will host webinars to provide support to Blue Ribbon Teacher applicants. The webinars will cover all aspects of the application process (accessing the application, uploading a video), share what to include in the application, and offer a general Q&A session.
