Nashville Animal Shelter at Capacity, Adoption Fees Lowered

Metro Animal Care and Control has dropped adoption fees to $10 to give every animal a chance to have a home for the holidays.

NASHVILLE, TN — The kennels at Metro Animal Care and Control are at capacity and the shelter says there is an "urgent need" for adoptions as the holidays approach.

"Every kennel at MACC is full and all of the pets deserves a special place to spend the holiday season, now through December 23 adoption fees are lowered to $10," MACC announced on its Facebook page Wednesday.

For those unable to adopt, there is also a need for foster families as part of MACC's "Operation Silent Night," which seeks to raise awareness of homeless pets and has the goal of finding every animal a temporary or permanent home by December 23.
