Overton High School Student Arrested For Online Threats

A teenager who police says has a history of online threats was arrested for making "sustainable" threats to Overton High School.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 15-year-old John Overton High School student is charged with making terrorist threats against the South Nashville school.

Metro Police said the teenager made the threats anonymously online and that they were "sustainable." Students alerted the school's Student Resource Officer, triggering the investigation.

The student, who allegedly has a history of such threats, had not been at school since Monday and police arrested him at his home Thursday.

His name was not released.
