Police Name Suspect In South Nashville Pharmacy Stick-Ups
Metro Police say a 44-year-old man tried robbing two South Nashville pharmacies last week.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 44-year-old man is wanted for trying to rob two South Nashville pharmacies last week.
Metro Police said Gary Ginnings was the gunman who stuck up a pair of pharmacies, demanding prescription narcotics, April 12.
A man, believed to be Ginnings, began by demanding narcotics at gunpoint from the Bridgestone Pharmacy at 25 Hamilton Crossing at 10:50 a.m. He was told by the clerk the pharmacy only carried diabetic supplies and he fled empty handed.

Ten minutes later, the same man entered Good Shepherd Pharmacy at 2717 Murfreesboro Pike and again demanded narcotics at gunpoint and was again told none were available. The man reportedly grabbed bottles of non-narcotic prescription drugs and fled in an early model white Ford Expedition driven by a second person.

Ginnings has multiple convictions for illegal possession of prescription drugs and obtaining prescription drugs by fraud, according to a review of court records.
