Report: IKEA Will Announce Nashville Location

The popular Swedish retailer will announce Thursday it's coming to Century Farms in southeast Nashville, The Tennessean reports.

NASHVILLE, TN — After years of clamoring and speculation from Nashvillians, a long-time shopping wish will come true. Popular Swedish retailer IKEA will announce Thursday that it will open a location in southeast Nashville, The Tennessean reports.

The newspaper says multiple sources have confirmed that the consumer-durables warehouser — which opened a Memphis-area location recently and also has stores in Atlanta and suburban Cincinnati — will announce in a press conference that it will open a store at the Century Farms development.

The newspaper says Antioch was selected over Bellevue, downtown and the airport area by the Swedish company.

IKEA has 390 stores in 48 countries with 43 in the United States.

Century Farms, owned by Oldacre McDonald, will include retail, residential and office space located off I-24 in Antioch.
