South Nashville Hit And Run Snarls Morning Traffic

One man was injured and a utility pole crashed to the pavement in a hit-and-run on Thompson Lane Monday morning.

NASHVILLE, TN - A Monday morning hit-and-run injured one person and slowed traffic in South Nashville.

Metro Police said a black Toyota Tundra struck another car on Thompson Lane near Briley Parkway, causing it to roll over, and then fled the scene. The driver of second car was seriously injured and had to be extricated from the vehicle.

One of the vehicles ran into a utility pole, bringing down some power lines and forcing lane closures, which slowed the morning commute in the already traffic-prone area.
