Nashville Zoo Baby Red Panda Cam: Watch 2 New Cubs

Two baby red pandas were born at the Nashville Zoo last month, and now you can watch them all the time.

NASHVILLE, TN — The Nashville Zoo is home to two adorable new residents after Mei Mei the red panda gave birth to a pair of cubs June 16.

“This is the second red panda birth at Nashville Zoo, and the first litter for first time mom, Mei Mei,” said Jennifer Wu, carnivore keeper at the zoo. “We were able to track Mei Mei’s pregnancy progress because she allowed keepers to conduct ultrasounds during her regular training sessions. This helped the animal care team estimate a due date and properly plan for the big day.” (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Middle Tennessee Patch morning newsletter.)

Red panda cubs are born blind and remain in the nest for three months, so they aren't available for public viewing. But, because the Nashville Zoo loves you and wants you to be happy, two live streams are available.
