Woman Shot In South Nashville Drive-By While Walking Dog

A 48-year-old woman was shot in both legs in a Sunday morning drive-by.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 48-year-old woman walking her dog in South Nashville Sunday morning was shot in both legs during a drive-by, police say.

The woman told police she was walking her dog near the intersection of Fesslers Lane and Lebanon Pike around 10:30 a.m. Sunday when she heard "two pops" and then collapsed in pain.

She said she saw a silver vehicle speeding away but she couldn't say if that was the car involved.

She is at Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
