Brentwood Begins Traffic Signal Changes
Implementation of new traffic signal timing plans began Monday in Brentwood, as the city moves to ease snarled traffic.

BRENTWOOD, TN -- A year-long state-funded traffic study in Brentwood began to bear fruit Monday, as the city implemented changes to traffic-signal timing on the city's busiest roads.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation awarded the the city a $215,000 grant in 2016 to improve traffic flow on Concord Road, Moores Lane, Wilson Pike and Murray Lane. Engineers developed new signal timing for 31 intersections throughout the city on those roads.
City engineers implemented the signal timing changes on Concord Road between Franklin Road and Sunset Road after Monday morning's rush hour and spent the day tweaking those changes.
