Storm Impacts

The Brentwood Fire and Rescue Department made four vehicle water rescues overnight, rescued more than fifty people from 12-15 homes and responded to one home fire caused by a lightning strike. The National Weather Service reports Brentwood received between seven and nine inches of rain. Fire Chief Brian Goss said, “at one point, crews were going door to door making rescues along Harpeth Drive.” Eight residents and a dog sought temporary shelter at Brentwood City Hall due to hotel rooms all being booked.

At 1:30am on Sunday, March 28, the Little Harpeth River crested at 16.2 feet and was receding as of Sunday morning at 6am.

A mud slide impacted Holly Tree Gap Rd at Val Verde Drive and it is impassable.

The Brentwood Public Works Department has crews working to clear impacted roadways. If you see damage obstructing roads, please email info@brentwoodtn.gov

Many residents will wake up to damage Sunday morning. The Brentwood Planning and Codes Department will be available to help assess home damage Monday morning. Until then, please find information on our website.

Several parks that are near the river are impacted with debris and flooded trails. Those impacted include Tower Park, Owl Creek Park, River Park, and parts of Crockett Park. Please avoid flooded areas. The Brentwood Parks Department will have crews cleaning up debris.

The John P. Holt Brentwood Library will be open during its regular hours on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

If you and your home were impacted by the flood, please fill out this survey. It is not an offer of financial aid, but will help the City assess damage and determine potential eligibility for disaster aid.

If you are cleaning up today, please place items in three different piles by the road for pickup:

1. appliances

2. furniture

3. home materials like insulation, walls, etc.
