Make-A-Wish Aims to Grant 75 Wishes for Holidays

'Season of Wishes' program aims to grant 75 wishes to kids in need by December 9 in order to light up the 'Wishing Tree.'

NASHVILLE, TN - Make-A-Wish is a nationwide, philanthropic organization that has several different options for people to donate and participate. The Season of Wishes program aims to grant 75 wishes to kids in need by December 9 in order to light up the "Wishing Tree." Their annual Wish Week runs from December 6 - 9 from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. If they succeed in granting the 75 wishes, then there will be a festive lighting of the Wishing Tree on Friday, December 9.

Volunteer with the Season of Wishes and spend your time serving terminally ill children in Nashville. There are other ways to give as well, like spreading the word on social media about the Tree Lighting.

You can participate as an individual and choose the amount you'd like to donate . There are preset amounts like $25, $50 or $100 as well as an option that allows for you to enter your own custom amount. You can also choose whether you'd like to donate to the cause locally or internationally.

You can join a fundraising team that is already working on their own to raise money for kids in need in the Nashville community. Some past wishes that have been granted for kids in the Nashville area include scholarship matches, amusement park tickets and even celebrity encounters.

You can make a donation to a team that's raising money for Make-a-Wish. Who is eligible? There are some requirements for kids who want to be included in the program. Who can refer a child? Not everyone is eligible to refer children to Make-a-Wish. Make sure to refer back to the guidelines.
