Interracial Couple Harassed, Woman Punched In Racist Attack

Dozens of people harassed an interracial couple, punching the woman, at a Brentwood restaurant after Saturday's white nationalist rallies.

BRENTWOOD, TN — A woman was allegedly punched by one member of a mob of dozens who were harassing her and her boyfriend — an interracial couple — Saturday night at a Brentwood restaurant.

According to Metro Police, the 30-year-old woman, who is white, and her 37-year-old boyfriend, who is black, were eating at the Corner Pub on Old Hickory Boulevard on the Davidson County side of Brentwood, when a group of 20 to 30 white people entered the restaurant Saturday night, sat nearby and began talking about "White Lives Matter." This followed Saturday's planned "White Lives Matter" rallies in Shelbyville and Murfreesboro, the latter of which fizzled out and was relocated to Henry Horton State Park, where the group formed a human swastika.

The group told the woman to leave her boyfriend and join them, leading to an argument which moved outside, according to police, which is when the woman was allegedly punched by a man in the mob.
