BRENTWOOD, TN - Explore the beautiful Brentwood outdoors, take a tour of a historic plantation, or learn how to operate a 3D printer. Take a look at what's going on in Brentwood this weekend.

Free Hike Day is a chance for Brentwood locals to explore the outdoors in the Owl's Hill Nature Sanctuary. Join a staff member or volunteer or a volunteer on a guided tour. The hike will be between 2 and 3 miles, with a few moderate hills. Register online and start your Saturday with some outdoor exercise.

Deerwood Arboretum and Nature Center boasts 2 man-made lakes and over 27 acres of outdoor terrain waiting to be explored. Take a short hike or have a picnic with friends. Design your own wearable scarf with local craft expert Nancy Higgins. Learn how to turn a basic piece of silk into a decorative scarf. Please bring a smock, 2 pencils and a stick of Elmer's glue if you wish to participate. You registration fee includes plastic gloves, masking tape, silk piece, dyes, brushes and paints.

Belle Meade Plantation is a historic plantation site that has since been converted into a museum. Take a guided tour and learn about the role this place played in the development of Nashville through the 18th and 19th centuries. Explore the plantation's 2600 acres and gain insight into an iconic Nashville aristocracy.

3D Printing Class for Adults is a free program offered to adult residents of Brentwood. The class teaches skills that will allow participants to proficiently operate a MakerBot 3D printer. Any objects created in the class will be available for pickup one week after completion of the class. Registration is required.
