Repairs Nearly Complete At Suddenly Dangerous I-65 Ramp
Repairs to the on-ramp from Old Hickory Boulevard to Interstate 65 - where accidents spiked after a paving project - are almost complete.

BRENTWOOD, TN -- By the end of the week, repairs should be complete at a busy Brentwood on-ramp that became suddenly dangerous after a re-paving project.
In the year between October 2016 and October 2017, there were six wrecks on the on-ramp from Old Hickory Boulevard to Interstate 65 South. In the six months after a paving project was completed in November 2017, there were 47, mostly during rainy or wet conditions.

Tennessee Department of Transportation surveyors were unable to find any problems with drainage or ponding. Still, TDOT tried to improve safety by expanding the right shoulder of the ramp and realigning the ramp's run-in with the interstate.
Striping should be complete by the end of the week.
