Roof Collapses At Brentwood Preschool
Around 100 children and staff at The Academy at Powell Place are safe after a roof collapse at the preschool during Tuesday's storms.
BRENTWOOD, TN — The roof of a Brentwood preschool partially collapsed during Tuesday afternoon's thunderstorms, forcing the evacuation of nearly 100 students and staff.
Brentwood Fire officials said that the staff of The Academy at Powell Place heard the structure cracking and evacuated the building. Ninety-six people, including 50 children, took shelter in a nearby office building. No one was injured.
