Williamson County School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Williamson County is August 10 for grades 1-12 and August 21 for kindergarten. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Williamson County School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/9: Administrative Day (All Teachers Work in Classrooms)

• 8/21: First Full Day for Kindergarten Students

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/10: End of First Quarter Grading Period
• 10/11 - 10/13: No School (Fall Break)

November

• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Holiday)

December

• 12/21: Half Day for Students, End of First Semester
• 12/22 - 1/2: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/2: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/3: No School for Students (District-Wide Professional Development Day)
• 1/4: No School for Students (Site-Based Professional Development Day)
• 1/5: First Student Day Second Semester
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)

• 3/16: End of Third Quarter Grading Period
• 3/26 - 3/30: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/18: Last Day for Students, Half Day for Students, End of Second Semester
• 5/18 - 5/20: Graduation Window
• 5/21: Administrative Day for Teachers
