Williamson Schools Set 2018-19 Calendar

FRANKLIN, TN -- As the first half of the 2017-18 school year comes to a close, students and parents can begin planning for the 2018-19 school year as the Williamson County Board of Education finalized next year's school calendar.

The calendar follows a similar format to this year's, though with an added day off for Election Day in November due to 2018's divisibility by two.

The three-day fall break was maintained despite a push by some board members for a week-long mid-semester hiatus with school starting two days earlier.

2018-19 Williamson County School Calendar, as approved

• Friday Aug. 10: First day of school (half-day)
• Wednesday Oct. 17- Friday Oct. 19: Fall Break
• Tuesday Nov. 6: Election Day
• Monday Nov. 19 - Friday Nov. 23: Thanksgiving Break (students return Monday, Nov. 26)
• Monday Dec. 24 - Wednesday Jan. 2: Winter Break (students' last day is Friday, Dec. 21 and they return Monday, Jan. 7)
• Monday March 18 - Friday March 22: Spring Break (students' last day is Friday, March 15 and they return Monday, March 25)
• Friday April 19: Spring holiday
• Friday May 24: Last day of school (half-day)
