Woman Tries To Make Off With Scratch-Offs: Police
A woman pulled lottery tickets from behind the counter at a Brentwood gas station in a bizarre robbery bid, police say.

BRENTWOOD, TN -- A woman wielding a walking stick, angry at being barred from buying gas, stole lottery scratch-offs Thursday, according to police.
A clerk at the Shell station on Old Hickory Boulevard told police Christy Moon walked into the station carrying the walking stick and tried to purchase fuel, but was denied because of her lack of an approved container. Angered, Moon threatened to cut the clerk, then forced her way behind the counter, knocking over several displays and began messing with the register, saying she was "going to take all this money."
The clerk exited the store, leaving Moon behind. When police arrived, they say they saw Moon pulling lottery tickets from the display and scratching them.
