CHATTANOOGA, TN -- The nation is about to celebrate its 241st birthday, and it's time to watch the glorious explosions we know as fireworks. Events in the Chattanooga area range from simple fireworks shows to day-long extravaganzas.

Saturday, July 1 (and July 4)
- Lake Winnepesaukah fireworks.
- Come out to the award-winning amusement park Lake Winnie. Fireworks shows start at 10 p.m. promptly.
Monday, July 3

- Chattanooga Pops on the River, free music and fireworks.
- Concert starts at 5 p.m., fireworks at 9:45 p.m. Free shuttle service from 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. from the Unum lots between 4th and 5th Streets downtown.
Monday, July 3
- Collegedale’s Independence Day Concert and Fireworks.
- At the Collegedale Veteran's Park, the 12th Independence Day celebration with the East Tennessee Symphony Orchestra. Festivities start at 4:30 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
