Blazek's Engine 6 was dispatched to a car wreck on Highway 58 Saturday just moments after returning to the fire hall after fighting a house fire.
The driver of the car was pregnant and, according to Blazek, "was hysterical because she was having lower back and abdominal pain." The woman's two older daughters were fine, but the four-month-old was screaming, so Blazek took her out of the car seat and did a quick exam to make sure she wasn't injured.

"She immediately laid her head on my shoulder," Blazek said in a Facebook post from the Chattanooga Fire Department. "Shortly after that I decided that my guys had the scene under control, so I decided to sit and take a break with my new friend. She immediately fell asleep in my arms."
Mom was taken to the hospital for a check-up and the kids waited with firefighters until other family members could come by and pick them up.
Someone snapped the shot of Blazek and the little one napping together and CFD's Facebook post has been shared nearly 7,000 times and has more than 19,000 likes.
