13-Year-Old Robs Madison Mapco: Police

A 13-year-old is accused of stealing cigarettes, cigars and a lighter after breaking the front window of a Gallatin Pike gas station.

MADISON, TN -- Metro Police say a 13-year-old broke the front window of a Madison gas station and stole cigars, cigarettes and a lighter early Wednesday morning.

The alarm at the Mapco on Gallatin Pike sounded at 2 a.m. and police found the glass from the front door shattered. Shortly thereafter, employees at a nearby Planet Fitness called to report a suspicious juvenile hanging around outside the gym.

After reviewing surveillance footage from the convenience store, the officers realized the teen at the gym had also robbed the Mapco, according to a police report.
