3 Chords And The Truth: Guilt Overwhelms Nashville Guitar Thief
Wracked with guilt, a man returned seven guitars he'd stolen from an acquaintance, who offered forgiveness and a second chance.

NASHVILLE, TN -- "I'm a big fan of giving everyone a second chance, because God knows I may need one," Scott Mumford told WKRN.
That's a wonderful sentiment that most people would say they believe. But believing it and living it are two different things and 61-year-old Mumford definitely demonstrated he buys into the power of second chances.
According to WKRN, seven of Mumford's 37 guitars were stolen from the 61-year-old's East Nashville home March 28 but just after filing the police report, he received a text from an acquaintance.

"Man, I can’t do this. I have every single thing and I can’t live with the guilt. Will arrange a drop off somehow, some way, just let me know," the text read, Mumford told the station.
And that was enough for Mumford. He told the man all was forgiven and to meet him at a gas station to return the instruments. Within an hour everything was back. Mumford said he convinced the man to get into recovery and he told the station since something good came of it, there was no reason to continue with the police.
