After Crashing Through Bus Stop, Man Arrested For Child Neglect
A man allegedly walked away after crashing through an MTA bus stop, leaving a child behind, police say.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A Nashville man allegedly left a child behind when he walked away after crashing a car through an MTA bus stop, according to Metro Police.
A Davidson County Sheriff's deputy saw a car crash into the bus stop on Dickerson Pike Wednesday and then reportedly the saw the driver walking away. The deputy called Metro Police, saying the driver was a white man in black shorts and a black t-shirt; officers found a man matching the description walking behind a nearby gas station.

The man, Brandon Mundy, allegedly admitted he was the driver in the accident and said he was "trying to get help." Police arrested Mundy and then found a child in the back seat of the crashed car.
A man who was hit at the bus stop was seriously injured, police said, and could lose his leg.

Police gave Mundy a field sobriety test and he allegedly admitted he is addicted to opioids. His blood was drawn at General Hospital. Police also said Mundy had a revoked license and had no car insurance.
He is charged with vehicular assault and child neglect.
