Donelson Gas Line Rupture Forces Evacuation
A construction company hit a gas line at Donelson Pike and Emery Saturday, forcing the evacuation of dozens.

DONELSON, TN — More than two dozen homes were evacuated for much of Saturday after a construction crew struck and ruptured a gas line in Donelson.
The rupture at Emery Drive and Donelson Pike was reported shortly after 10 a.m. Police evacuated 25 to 30 homes in a three- to- four-block radius while Piedmont Natural Gas repaired the line. Repairs took more than six hours, though by 4:30 p.m. the evacuees were permitted to return.
