Donelson Kmart Gets The Ax In Latest Round Of Store Shutdowns
Three Tennessee Kmart stores will close in January as part of the chain's latest downsizing.

DONELSON, TN — The Kmart store at 530 Donelson Pike is among the 45 Kmarts nationwide and three in Tennessee that will be shuttered in January as part of parent company Sears' latest downsizing effort.
Sears Holdings announced that the Kmart locations plus 18 Sears stores across the country will close in January with liquidation sales beginning as soon as Nov. 9 in some stores. In addition to the Donelson store, the Kmarts in Tullahoma and Cookeville will also close their doors in January.
"We will continue to close some unprofitable stores as we transform our business model so that our physical store footprint and our digital capabilities match the needs and preferences of our members," Sears Holdings said in a release announcing the closures.
