Hey Hendersonville and Tennessee! Characters of Character is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a firm foundation for children to establish strong civic values. We met with the Governor's Office late March to share that we are moving our nonprofit organization to Tennessee to provide character building lessons in the community through art, literacy, drama and discussions! We can not wait to plant our roots and grow in Southern soil!
Characters of Character has a few projects happening, one of which is we are donating our Superhero Activity Boxes to Children's Hospitals in Tennessee and one of which is the Children's Hospital at Vanderbuilt. These Superhero Activity Boxes are colorful, sturdy and include a Superhero Activity book, crayons, watercolor pallet, paint brush, superhero mask, superhero sticker, a canvas that says I AM SUPER to paint and an easel to display it, plus a character (agent) lanyard to wear proudly, and finally, a hand written letter from one of the Characters of Character. We're already contacting the Children's Hospitals to donate to! Now we need support for donations and sponsorships to ship these boxes out to the hospitals. We've spoken with a few representatives from the hospitals and they appreciate these and need activities for the children. Some of them are not allowed out of their hospital rooms due to Covid and these are engaging and all theirs! Please let your family, friends, business's and others know about our projects, they may want to make a difference in the life of a child as the Characters of Character do, we need you!

Characters of Character is proud to be donating our newly designed Affirmations BuildingConfidence in our children activity box to the Hendersonville Library! We need donations and sponsors for this project as well. You can learn how you can donate and sponsor this project on our website here.
While we reside in the state of Illinois, we are registered in the state of Tennessee as well. We share our award winning characters nationally. This year we are focusing on Tennessee and Texas to donate our Superhero Activity Boxes to. This month (August) we are sending out Superhero Activity Boxes to the Huntley Hospital in Illinois and also Ann and Robert Lurie's in Chicago. We've donated to and brought Self-Esteem Elephant to Shriner's in Chicago to engage the children and families in some fun confidence building activities. This year is different, no costumes allowed which we completely understand. They are hanging in the closet and can't wait to get back in the game!
