Hermitage Condo Residents Face Water Cutoff

A Hermitage homeowners association has an outstanding $14,000 water bill and its residents face a shut-off next month.

HERMITAGE, TN -- Water to a Hermitage condo complex will be cut off next month if the homeowners association can't come up with more than $14,000, according to WKRN.

After a plea from Councilman Steve Glover, Metro Water Services agreed to a 30-day extension for the Raintree Village Condominiums which has an outstanding water bill of $14,238.42, the station reports. The complex only has one water main and the bill is supposed to be paid by the HOA.

The HOA says it's been unable to keep up with payments because some residents have not paid their dues. Metro Water said Raintree has carried a balance for more than three years, leading to the water being cut off Tuesday before Glover's intervention.
