Man Surrenders After Killing Brother: Nashville Police

A Madison man shot and killed his brother inside their home early Thursday, according to Metro Nashville Police.

MADISON, TN -- A fraternal fight turned deadly in Madison early Thursday, according to Metro Police.

Investigators say the brothers' mother called police to a Pierpoint Drive home at 1:30 Thursday morning to say one of her sons had been shot. Detectives say the man, 37-year-old Kevin Ross, and his brother, 24-year-old Kameron Ross, got into an argument when Kameron Ross began shooting, killing his brother. The mother was also at home, but was not injured.

Kameron Ross fled the scene after the shooting and Metro Police used K9 units in an unsuccessful effort to locate him. He eventually returned to the house and surrendered to police around 5:15 Thursday morning. Investigators say he later showed them where he’d hidden the gun.

He is charged with murder and unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon.
