Police Seek Scoop On Rivergate Ice Cream Shop Thief

MADISON, TN -- Employees at a Rivergate ice cream shop were robbed Monday night, according to Metro Police.

While taking out the trash around 8 p.m., the workers were approached by an armed man wearing a white mask and dark clothing. The man then forced the employees back inside, took money from the register, fired one shot and ran from the store. No one was injured.

Witnesses told police a man matching the suspect's description drove away in a white or cream late-model Lincoln or Mercury Grand Marquis/
