AT&T Boosts Network at Nissan Stadium

Telecom says it has amped up capacity at Titans' home field and has increased capacity of the wireless network there.

NASHVILLE, TN — AT&T says to expect speed on Sundays at Nissan Stadium.

The telecom giant has boosted the network capacity at the home field of the Tennessee Titans.

“When our customers head out to Nissan Stadium to cheer on their favorite team, or enjoy a concert, we want them to have a great network experience,” Kristi Turner, AT&T vice president of mobility and consumer markets for Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana, said. “That means connection no matter what they’re doing – making a call, checking email, sharing on social media or enjoying DIRECTV right on their mobile device. These network enhancements are permanent and will continue to benefit customers year after year. This means a better mobile experience and it’s just one way we’re continuing to invest in our Nashville wireless network.”

AT&T also added capacity to the distributed antenna system at the stadium, which was originally installed in 2012.

The upgrades are expected to more than triple voice and data capacity, as well as help increase coverage and data speeds inside the venue. This gives customers a better wireless experience at the game.

AT&T says that at the October 27 home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Titans fans used 388 gigabytes, or the equivalent of 1.1 million selfies, an increase of 70 percent over the average game in 2015.
