NASHVILLE, TN -- Three teenagers who stole a BMW were arrested at Opry Mills as they charged their cell phones, according to Metro Police.
A 34-year-old man said he met two young men at a Douglas Avenue gas station Saturday morning to discuss selling his 2010 BMW 335i. The pair walked off but then one of them came back with a gun and took the car, he told detectives.
Hermitage Precinct officers tracked the car to Opry Mills and during a sweep of the food court saw three teenagers, among them the two who allegedly met with the BMW owner earlier, charging their phones. The two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old tried running but were quickly arrested, police said. One of the 16-year-olds was carrying a 9-millimeter pistol. He is charged with auto theft, resisting a police stop and unlawful gun possession.
