Water Main Break In East Nashville Closes Rosebank Avenue

NASHVILLE, TN — Rosebank Avenue is closed at Sheridan Avenue near Shelby Park as crews prepare to repair a broken water main.

Metro Water said it is unclear how many customers are affected by the broken main.

Crews cannot begin working until at least 8 a.m. because Metro Water has to allow other underground utilities the chance to mark their infrastructure before excavation can begin.

There is currently no estimate on how long the repair of the six-inch main will take because there is no way to know the extent of the damage until crews begin excavation.
