West Nile Virus Found In Goodlettsville
A mosquito found near a popular Goodlettsville park tested positive for West Nile virus, health officials announced.

GOODLETTSVILLE, TN - Tennessee Department of Health scientists say a mosquito found near a popular Goodlettsville park tested positive for West Nile virus.
A single mosquito taken near where Madison Creek empties into Manskers Creek in Moss-Wright Park was found to have the disease; it was one of several samples taken in the area.
There are no reports of human cases.

Health officials urge people to rid their property of standing water and to use insect repellant containing DEET, picaridin or oil of lemon, particularly at dawn and dusk.
