NASHVILLE, TN -- Two women shot and critically injured a 57-year-old Wisconsin man outside a strip of popular East Nashville restaurants Wednesday afternoon.

The man, whose identity was not released, had parked his car near Mas Tacos and The Pharmacy at McFerrin and West Eastland around 1:30 p.m., calling to see if the restaurants were open. Later, police located the Avenger and took the 23-year-old driver in for questioning. A handgun was found inside the car.

“At this particular location, yes, we have robberies during the daytime, but it’s usually more toward the later evening hours,” Metro Police Commander David Imhof told WSMV. “Between six and 11 o’clock at night is a hot time for a situation like this.”
