Yazoo Moving To Madison

Seminal Nashville craft brewer Yazoo will be moving from The Gulch to a Madison campus.

MADISON, TN -- Pioneering Nashville craft brewery Yazoo will relocate to a Madison campus, the beermaker announced this week.

Yazoo's location at 910 Division Street in The Gulch was listed for sale for $9.75 million in mid-2017. The owners of that site have a sale contract with an undisclosed buyer. Founded in 2003, Yazoo moved from Marathon Village to The Gulch in 2010.

Its new site - six acres overlooking the Cumberland River at 900 River Bluff Drive - currently has no buildings, but Yazoo founder and brewmaster Linus Hall said in a release the company plans a "destination" at the site.

“We are thrilled to have secured a long-term home for Yazoo that gives us the space to brew without limitations and create a truly special destination for our fans,” Hall said. “Our new brewery will be custom-designed and -built from the ground up to meet our brewing needs, with expansion space to support our growth. Our campus will feature a taproom as well as dedicated outdoor space for concerts and picnics. It’ll be a destination worth spending time at with friends and family.”

Hall said Yazoo will ideally be able to increase production with the move. In 2017, Yazoo brewed 24,000 barrels in The Gulch.

“Our staff live all over Middle Tennessee, and we’ve always seen ourselves as a Nashville beer,” Hall said. “We are grateful to have been part of the incredible revitalization of Marathon Village and then the Gulch, and look forward to our new home in Madison.”
