These multi-million properties in Williamson County have been on the market for at least a year.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TN — Multi-million dollars homes for sale in Williamson County are not hard to find and with the Nashville area's sizzling real estate market, most of them don't have a hard time finding a buyer. Ask any home-seeker, at any price point, and chances are they have a story of a home they've been eyeing selling before it officially goes on sale. In fact, homes that sold in Williamson County in April had been on the market for an average of just 49 days.

But these five properties, all $2 million or more, have been on the market for at least year, according to Realtor.com.

At $12.5 million, this home — The Hideaway At Arrington, once owned by country music legend Tanya Tucker — is one of the most expensive homes currently on the market in Williamson County. It's being marketed as a development property — it's 126.75 acres, so why not?. Nevertheless it's spent more than two years on the market — 856 days to be exact — and nary a developer or well-heeled buyer has ponied up the price. In addition to the 5,400 square-foot all-brick home, the property has a hay barn and a party barn, plus cattle gates and dog kennels. See the full listing here.

This Governors Club home, currently listed at $3.25 million, has a bit of a reputation for long stints on the market. The current owners bought it in 2011 after it spent more than a year and a half for sale. Meanwhile, its current run on the listing sheet is 515 days. The sellers have come down on the price a touch in that time, cutting the ask price from $3.45 million a few months ago. At nearly 12,000 square feet, the home (picture at top of the page) has the space for two master bedrooms, a wine cellar, media room and fitness room. Out back: a stunning pool and spa (above) with a view of the 18th hole. See the full listing here.

Address: 144 Steeplechase Lane, Nashville

Here's a rarity: a Williamson County home with a Nashville address. Less than a quarter mile from the county line and Warner Parks, this $2.99 million home has spent 433 days for sale. The six-bedroom, 8,435 square-foot home on three acres was a custom-build for the current owner so perhaps no one else sees the charm, though with a heap of special features — including a gigabit-ready smart home system — that seems unlikely. Address: 45 Governors Way, Brentwood

Now at 391 days on the market, this Italianate home in The Governors Club was reduced from $3.3 million to $3.1 million and the listing says the owners are willing to do a home swap for their four bedroom, 8,875 square-foot piece of Tuscany. See the full listing here.

Address: 1004 Liberty Church Trail, Brentwood

The price keeps coming down on this 10,000-plus square-foot home. Initially listed for $4.25 million when it was listed 370 days ago, it was cut to $3,999,950 the same day (impatient!) and then to $3.699 million just today. The home has eight bedrooms on three "bucolic" acres on a private cul-de-sac and a price that might be right soon enough. See the full listing here.
