After 56 Years, Founding Family of Nashville's Iconic Pancake Pantry Sell
The Baldwin family has run Hillsboro Village's Pancake Pantry since Day 1, but new owners promise to keep the tradition alive.

NASHVILLE, TN — For the first time in its 56 year history, the Pancake Pantry — the beloved Hillsboro Village breakfast spot frequented by generations of Vanderbilt students, tourists, country music royalty and nearly everyone else — will not be run by its founding family.
The Tennessean reports the Baldwin family sold the restaurant to Crosby Keltner, manager of Franklin's Red Pony. Robert Baldwin opened the Pancake Pantry in Hillsboro Village in 1961. It was purchased by his son, David, in 1988.
"I am honored to be trusted with the future of this iconic landmark and am excited to play a part of Nashville’s rich history," Keltner said, according to the newspaper. "Pancake Pantry is a local treasure and I intend to carry on the Baldwin family’s legacy and preserve this special 'Nashville tradition.'"
