A Bad Banana With A Greasy Black Peel: Forest Hills Holiday Display Destroyed by Bat Wielding Grinch

A neighborhood Christmas display in Forest Hills was shattered with a bat, but the scrooge was caught on camera.

FOREST HILLS, TN — With humbug in his heart and a bat in his hand, a man destroyed a Forest Hills neighborhood's Christmas display in a matter of seconds early Friday morning.

Security cameras installed to discourage vandalism and theft in the Hounds Run neighborhood caught the bat-wielding Grinch around 4 a.m. Friday running up to the large display, destroying three large ornaments serving as the centerpiece of the decorations and attempting to bust up a statue of a deer.

The deer reigned supreme, however, but the ornaments fell victim to the naughty-list-bound vandal, who is clearly smiling throughout the rampage. It was unclear from the video if the smile contained termites, but it's obvious the saboteur had all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile.

“The concern is that there is someone is willing to damage not only someone else's property, but to try to take away the spirit of the season and it took several weeks to do this,” homeowners association president Patti Czarnik told Fox 17, “It's very painful to see someone else that is willing to destroy it in less than 30 seconds."

The TV station has video footage of the attack and the HOA hopes someone can identify the king of sinful sots.
